Sprout Social is a social media management tool that is used by businesses and organizations, but can also be used by individuals. The site was founded in 2010 and “is built on the idea that the world is better when businesses and customers communicate freely.”
There are three different packages to choose from and there is a fee to use this tool but you can test it out 30 days for free. You also have to sign-up to use the tool.
The point of Sprout Social is to enable businesses to grow their social media presence through three main functions: publishing, engagement, and analytics. The tool is pretty amazing and super simple to use. You’re able to make post to many different platforms all at once and even schedule post to send out on later times and dates. With it you can also see how many men and woman, different ages, and also times and dates people are looking at your social media platforms.
I have used Sprout Social while interning at the Arts Council of Fairfax County. It only took me a few minutes to figure out how to use the site. It was very convenient to have all their social media platforms all in one space and be able to create multiple post at one time to have them be scheduled to post at a later time.
For this project I created my own personal account with Sprout Social. I could connect both of my Twitter accounts, Instagram account, and also Facebook account. With the Facebook account you have the option of connecting your business or personal account. You could also connect both if you want.
All in all, I found Sprout Social to be an extremely helpful tool when it came to managing my social media accounts.
