A user can upload files either privately or publicly, and then the slide decks can be viewed on the site or embedded on other sites. For an arts organization, the tool can be used to amplify messages and capture the audience of attentions. When it is publicly published, it has potential of reaching diverse audience across the world, and benefit from ongoing research that goes beyond the initial share. This is a free tool with three tiers of preference. First is Silver ($19) which is for any advanced users, second is GoldPro ($49) for small and medium-sized business, and lastly, they have Platinum Pro ($249) which is for large enterprises and organizations. For free accounts, it only requires to sign-up or registration, and Linkedln, Facebook and email address are options to choose for registration. Once the SlideShare has been updated, it is possible to download, share with other social media, and the website itself.

One of the best beneficial aspects for arts organization is that it reaches a large, yet targeted audience. It is convenient and easy to upload one post, but if it is well promoted, and discoverability score is high, it can reach out to both individuals and different types of business.

Lynda.com cooperates with SlideShare, so first three recommended posts in almost every category are from Lynda.com. Once you click the post, it directly leads into their own website, and shows who, what and how they are involved in the post. One practical example would be FreshArts organization that used SlideShare to advertise their events. Additionally, in many different fields, there are major contributors who utilize SlideShare actively such as White House, Dell, Penguin Random House, South by Southwest and Rockefeller organization.
